About Me!

Hi! I am Francine Joy G. Rico, a Grade 11 student at Legazpi City Science High School taking Accountancy, Business and Management strand and the creator of this site. This portfolio shows my outputs in the Empowerment Technologies subject for the whole 2nd semester.

Every output shows the result of my efforts in doing my best to make my imagination and creativity work. I hope that as you look at my every output, you'll appreciate the hard work and dedication that I put into it to make it pleasing in your eyes and, at the same time, to give you more information that could help you in some ways.

How do the different online platforms help you as a student in your chosen track?

As a student, the greatest benefit of education technology is that it provides learners with the opportunity to extend learning beyond the classroom, work at their own pace and at a level appropriate to them. Online learning platforms allow all of those things as well as provide a tool for students and teachers to keep a record of progress made. Essentially, they allow learners to have more ownership of their learning which helps them learn better.

With the help of different online platforms, I can now easily search for something that came from legitimate and reliable sources. Communication is also important when you are studying, especially during these days. There are social media platforms like Facebook Messenger that are really helpful for me to communicate with my classmates and teachers. Whenever I needed some guidance from our teachers, I could easily approach them in a short span of time.

With these, I can practice and apply the qualities that I need to pass my chosen track, especially that Accountancy, Business, and Management require you to possess some skills that can be practiced with the help of some online platforms.
